Choose Blade for the lowest floor prices on small models in Europe, when a price that moves with the hour is acceptable. Choose Munito AI for the newest large open models, a price that does not move, an Anthropic-compatible API, OCR of PDFs by the page, decision models, and a deployment in your own cloud or on-premises.
Prices and models checked on 2026-11-07, against a rate card Blade dates the same day. Blade prices move each hour, so check them at the source.

Prices in Europe
Standard tier, per million tokens, input / output. Munito AI in USD and fixed. Blade in EUR, as a floor and, where it publishes one, a ceiling.
| Model | Munito AI | Blade, floor | Blade, ceiling |
|---|---|---|---|
| Qwen3.8-27B | $0.20 / $2.70 | €0.136 / €1.83 | €0.21 / €2.76 |
| Gemma 4 26B | Not public | €0.0621 / €0.232 | €0.09 / €0.35 |
| gpt-oss-20b | Not public | €0.0306 / €0.116 | €0.05 / €0.17 |
| DeepSeek-V4-Flash | $0.11 / $0.28 | Not offered | Not offered |
| DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash-1017 | $0.30 / $1.20 | Not offered | Not offered |
| GLM-5.3-Flash | $0.15 / $0.50 | Not offered | Not offered |
Read the ceiling, not the floor. Blade is plain that "Dynamic pricing applies to eligible models" and that an eligible model "follows its GPU class's hourly schedule, never below the From price", and that prices "can rise above the list rate". On Qwen3.8-27B, the one model both serve, Blade's floor beats our fixed price and its ceiling does not. Which one you pay depends on the hour your traffic arrives, and a batch job that runs at night pays a different price from a chat product at noon.
That is the whole trade. A fixed price is worth less than a lower price, until you have to forecast a bill.
How to switch
Both speak the OpenAI API:
from openai import OpenAI
client = OpenAI(
base_url="https://api.eu.munito.ai/inference/v1",
api_key="munitoai_...",
)
The same key answers the Anthropic Messages API too.
Where Blade is stronger
- The lowest floor prices in Europe for small models, well under ours where we publish a comparable one.
- Its own GPUs. Shadow, the company behind Blade, runs its own fleet, which is what makes the hourly floor possible.
- A wider catalog by kind: embeddings, speech, image and video generation, translation models and web search.
- Many small specialist models, including Granite, Nemotron Nano and translation models we do not serve.
Where Munito AI is stronger
- A price you can forecast. Ours is posted and fixed for the tier you pick. See Pricing.
- The newest large open models: DeepSeek-V4-Flash, DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash-1017 and GLM-5.3-Flash, each with a 1M-token context, against a 60B class ceiling at Blade.
- The Anthropic Messages API beside the OpenAI Chat Completions and Responses APIs.
- EU, US or global processing on one key. See Regions.
- A deployment of your own: managed, inside your cloud account, or on-premises.
- OCR billed per page at $0.0044, rather than per token through a vision model.
- Decision models: pplx-decider-v1.2 and Cygnet answer yes or no, choice and score questions through the Decisions API.
What a security review will ask
Both keep no prompts and both run in Europe. The questions that separate them are the ones about the contract: the DPA, the sub-processor list, the retention period on an error path, and the exit terms. Ours are at legal.munito.ai/dpa and trust.munito.ai/subprocessors, and the security review guide collects the rest. Our SOC 2 audit and ISO 27001 certification work are in progress.
Ask one more question of a dynamic price: what the rate was for the hours you actually ran, and whether the vendor publishes that history.
